This post has been submitted for our review. This movie started very intere4sting but towards the end it stared to loose interest, and I lost the interest until the end.
I thought it was going to be similar to a lifetime movie, that we tell the story of what's going to happen to these teens if they go to jail, but it wasn't. It had potential and great story line. I did not believe the actors at all. So for this being a very low movie that doesn't show anything interesting at all, I give " Accused At 17 " a D-. Spoiled rotten teenager becomes unspoiled and appreciative after. This could only be the work of a overly dramatic Lifetime movie! And it is. But it is one of the better Lifetime movies put there just because it's unlike anything else that's really out there.
And Lifetime movies are certainly never cinematic masterpieces. There's a certain amount of hamminess that goes into every single one but that is what makes Lifetime movies fun and entertaining to watch. Melodramatic story, mediocre acting, and an addictive quality that won't let you turn it off once you've gotten a half hour into the story. The story begins with a teen whose boyfriend cheats on her.
It progresses to the teen's friends accidentally murdering the girl while trying to teach her a lesson. The rest of the film focuses on a series of lies told in order to keep their secret. There are a lot of bothersome production moments, like the fact that we never see the murdered girl's parents even when they are at her house and the cheating boyfriend awkwardly trying to apologize. Also, the overly boisterous cops and the completely absurd ending.
But sometimes you just have to shrug and say "It's a Lifetime Original Move. Barbara Niven, William Moses, and Lindsay Taylor seemed like they walked directly off of a soap opera set, but I actually really enjoyed Nicole Gale Anderson's performance.
Not in an Oscar way, but in a "you fit your typical teen character well" way. I turned on "Accused at 17" knowing exactly what I was getting into and, as long as you have that expectation, you'll enjoy this over dramatic story and be curious to see how it ends.
Don't even think about wasting your time watching it Think Mean Girls only for every bit that movie is awesome, this one is horrible. And quite twisted. Super good it shows you that u hve to be careful of who u trust ;. This was one of the better movies I've gotten from RedBox lately. It's mediocre at best still. I enjoyed Bianca's character and the actress isn't just beautiful, she's talented as well. I didn't care for the actress who played Sarah at first but she grew on me and I can't say she's not a good actress.
This causes Fallyn to snap and confront Dory, smashing her head in with a rock and killing her. Sarah is shocked and tries to call for help, but Fallyn stops her and says that if they call the police, they'll all be blamed. She then has Sarah help her hide Dory's body before leaving. When Dory is reported missing, the police talk to Bianca, causing her to become worried. She meets with Fallyn and Sarah and suggests they confess what they did, but Fallyn refuses, saying the police will blame them if something happened to her.
Eventually, however, Bianca confesses about the events of the prank to her mother, Jacqui. After finding out, Fallyn goes to her own mother, Claire, and confesses to being Dory's killer. During a meeting with Bianca and Jacqui, Bianca's mother Claire claims that Fallyn had been with her the entire day of Dory's disappearance. Bianca becomes angry that Claire is lying for Fallyn, leading to Claire kicking her out. Fallyn then plants Dory's hair clip in Bianca's car, framing her and leading the police to arrest her.
Sarah confronts Fallyn for framing Bianca, but Fallyn calmly says that Bianca deserved it for breaking their pact of silence. An innocent teenage prank plunges three high school girls into a world of chaos after the target of their torment turns up dead, and the police seek the evidence needed to charge them with murder.
Bianca is furious. Her boyfriend has been going out with Dory behind her back, and now it's time to make the other girl pay. With the help of her best friends Fallyn and Sarah, Bianca lures Dory far from home, and abandons her in the middle of nowhere.
Soon thereafter, the local police discover Dory's body on the outskirts of town, and race to catch her killer. Then when they reach their destination she is again wearing the barrette in her hair. Later, Sarah approaches Fallyn at school with the same barrette wrapped in a tissue and tells her that she found it in the back of her car.
